Do you want to improve your English (spoken or written)?
Jonathan is an English (ESOL) teacher with the College of West Anglia, and he is offering FREE lessons every Saturday afternoon.

Adult Education
From September 2007 you have to pay for your ESOL classes £50 every 20hours unless you are
- at level1or Level 2 English
- you are living off the benefits (such as JSA, IS, but you still have to talk to Jenny Walker)
- if you are on income which is less than £15,000 a year you can get help with your payments. To do this you have to complete a form which can be gathered from Jenny Walker, who will decide your eligibility for help.
EU members can join classes straight away, when the non EU members have to be married to UK citizen for one year or been living in UK for the last 3 years. Non EU citizens who haven’t been in UK for the full 3 years can not be enrolled into the course at all.
To join a class for your assessment go to St Margaret’s House (near The Saturday Market Place) from Monday till Friday from 9am to 4pm or contact Jenny Walker on 01553 669239

London Community Gospel Choir: Saturday 13th September 7.30pm
In 1982 a dream came alive as the first concert gospel choir in Britain - The London Community Gospel Choir (LCGC) - was formed. The reputation of the Choir has grown from these humble beginnings. In 2006 they recorded the Official World Cup Song together with the rock band Embrace for the England team in Germany!
Other highlights include recording the soundtrack for the Disney classic “The Lion King”.
Trying to fit LCGC into a neat slot is virtually impossible. They are adaptable, flexible and create dynamic melodies with rich harmonies. Known for their funky gospel flair, swing-beat, R’n’B, traditional and soulful arrangements, with invigorating choreography and vocal gymnastics.
